PUBLIC SAFETY & FIRST RESPONDERS

AMREL builds reliable computing solutions as if they are a matter of life and death

The people who enforce the law, fight fires, and respond to emergencies response have to be tough and special.  So do their computers.

For over 30 years, AMREL has been crafting customized computing solutions for the specific needs of First Responders. We understand how crowded a cab may be, and how an in-vehicle solution needs to minimize space. We’ve modified platforms so dual monitors can simultaneously display information from multiple data sources. We’ve leveraged a government department’s limited resources, by creating hybrid solutions that allow tablets to function as stand-alone or in an integrated vehicular system. Furthermore, our track-record of proven ruggedness and reliability means they will not fail at a critical moment.

The public counts on First Responders. First Responders count on AMREL.

Information is critical in an emergency. First Responders need to know where to go, how to get there, and what to expect when they arrive. Once onsite, accurate identification of victims and perpetrators can make a life-and-death difference.

Firemen, police officers, EMS and other public safety personnel rely on information to protect themselves and help others. That’s why for decades, they have depended on reliable ROCKY computer platforms. With ROCKY mobile solutions, policemen don’t worry about in-vehicle systems overheating in their cars. Firemen know that their ROCKY tablets can endure hot fire scenes and cold water as well as they do. In the chaos of an emergency, if an EMS tech drops a computer, they don’t worry about it; they know it’s a ROCKY and can take it.

AMREL has closely worked with Public Safety professionals and First Responders to provide them with solutions that match their needs, and leverage their department’s limited resources. State, local, and federal governments have not only used ROCKY laptops, tablets, handhelds, and in-vehicles systems, but also have made full use of AMREL’s customization expertise to procure the most optimal solution.

AMREL knows how to support First Responders by:

  • Maximizing space – We have expertise in delivering space-saving solutions for cramped fire engines and police cruisers.
  • Integrating multiple displays for multiple data sources – Our in-vehicle computer system has a DVI interface (100% digital signal), which allows dual monitors to simultaneously display information from multiple data sources.
  • Creating hybrid solutions – Our hybrid solutions let you use pull-out tablets as onboard vehicle solutions. You can even purchase handhelds that run the same Windows OS as your laptop.

Extended support

Public Safety and Emergency services often use their computers 24/7, sometimes for many years. AMREL offers unprecedented levels of extended support. We support our platforms for at least 5 to 7 years, and, in some cases, even up to 14 years. Whether you want to sustain the existing products or upgrade to next generations, we are ready to assist you.
